What We Do
Youth Service Bureau provides effective, early-intervention services for youth and their families through mental health, chemical health, family education and diversion.
Our programs are designed to help youth and their families learn decision-making, problem solving and communication skills that will help them be more successful in the future.
And we know our programs are a success because youth and families regularly report that with our assistance, they are better equipped to handle life’s challenges!
YSB values the unique needs of each youth and family.
We know that one size does not fit all. That’s why we use a variety of prevention and early intervention strategies to individualize our work. We carefully assess each family situation to identify what’s working and build on those strengths to offset the challenges families face.
YSB offers timely support to address challenges when they are occurring.
Research shows that more immediate consequences create better learning. We are proud to operate without a waiting list. Most new families can be offered an appointment within a week of initial contact and, in a crisis, we can often offer a same day appointment.
YSB provides quality service regardless of family income or ability to pay.
We believe that youth and families should not be denied quality mental health services based on income or ability to pay. We pride ourselves on being affordable and accessible to youth and families by using both insurance billing and a sliding fee scale as needed.
